Before You Call — A Few Things to Know

Read this part. Honestly. It matters.

At Pay Your Energy, our role is simple: we provide customer support and informational assistance related to utility services. We do not generate electricity, distribute natural gas, maintain utility infrastructure, issue utility bills, or operate on behalf of local governments or utility providers unless expressly stated.

If anyone assumes we are the company supplying your energy service, that is a misunderstanding of our purpose.

Most of the assistance we provide includes:

  • Explaining utility bills in easy-to-understand language
  • Helping customers prepare for utility setup during a move
  • Providing guidance on starting or transferring service
  • Offering general information about common utility-related processes
  • Assisting individuals who are unsure where to begin

It is important to understand that all official policies, rates, service requirements, deadlines, and account decisions are controlled solely by your utility provider. For account-specific matters—including billing disputes, payment confirmations, outage information, account numbers, service status updates, or provider decisions—you should contact your utility company directly.

What We Do Not Guarantee

To avoid confusion, Pay Your Energy does not guarantee:

  • Lower utility costs or reduced monthly bills
  • Approval of requests submitted to any utility provider
  • Specific outcomes from any utility company or agency
  • Continuous or uninterrupted utility service
  • Eligibility for financial assistance, payment plans, grants, or utility aid programs

Emergencies are not us. Pay Your Energy is not an emergency response service.
If you smell gas, notice electrical hazards, experience a dangerous outage, see exposed power lines, or encounter any situation that threatens safety, contact your utility provider’s emergency department immediately or call 911 where appropriate.
In emergencies, immediate action matters, and our support services are not designed to provide emergency assistance.
